Dairy-free Hot chocolate

This creamy, dairy-free hot chocolate blends rich cocoa and smooth plant-based milk for a perfectly indulgent, guilt-free treat!
Ingredients
- 4-5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk or oatmilk of choice
- 1 heaping cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1-2 tbsp monk fruit sweetener or coconut sugar
- 2-3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors
Instructions
- set a large pot or dutch oven to medium high heat
- add chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar, and about 1/2 cup of milk to the pot
- once chocolate has begun to melt (about 2 minutes), whisk everything together until smooth
- add remaining milk and whisk until cohesive. turn up the heat a little more
- once simmering, shut off the heat and add vanilla
- serve as is or with marshmallows, coconut whipped cream, cool whip, and/or sprinkles!
