TWO Ingredient homemade bagels

a miraculous blend of creamy lactose-free yogurt + self-rising flour baked to golden perfection, creating chewy, flavorful bagels that defy expectation with their simplicity and taste!
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups self rising flour
- 1 cup thick greek, lactose-free yogurt
- egg wash (1 whole beaten egg + dash of sea salt)
- toppings: sea salt, sesame seeds, blueberries, everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
- to a mixing bowl, add flour + yogurt and mix until dough just comes together.
- flour your work surface generously and knead dough for about 5 minutes. dough should be smooth
- section dough into 6 balls. roll each ball of dough between your palms into a smooth log/rope. pinch the ends to form your bagel.
- place bagel on your baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash. sprinkle on any toppings or leave them plain
- bake for 22 minutes. take them out and turn your oven heat to 450. place bagels back in for 3-4 more minutes or until beautifully golden brown.
- aren't they perfect!? somebody get the vegan cream cheese, quick!!
Notes
I love to use Fage plain, lactose-free Greek yogurt. make sure there is little water present in the yogurt when you combine it with the flour.
