a miraculous blend of creamy lactose-free yogurt + self-rising flour baked to golden perfection, creating chewy, flavorful bagels that defy expectation with their simplicity and taste!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
  2. to a mixing bowl, add flour + yogurt and mix until dough just comes together.
  3. flour your work surface generously and knead dough for about 5 minutes. dough should be smooth
  4. section dough into 6 balls. roll each ball of dough between your palms into a smooth log/rope. pinch the ends to form your bagel.
  5. place bagel on your baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash. sprinkle on any toppings or leave them plain
  6. bake for 22 minutes. take them out and turn your oven heat to 450. place bagels back in for 3-4 more minutes or until beautifully golden brown.
  7. aren't they perfect!? somebody get the vegan cream cheese, quick!!

Notes

I love to use Fage plain, lactose-free Greek yogurt. make sure there is little water present in the yogurt when you combine it with the flour.
